Supporting charities, communities and those in need
Our global network of Community Impact Champions is instrumental in connecting colleagues worldwide, inspiring action, and amplifying our impact. Together, we achieve fantastic results, supporting countless charities and uplifting communities across the globe.
Charity partnerships
We have a decentralised charity partnership approach to enable each of our global businesses and teams to select their own charities, so that they can choose the cause and partners that are the most meaningful to their local teams to support. These range across all themes from environmental protection and wildlife projects to cancer support and mental health and orphanages to child development programmes.
Maggie's
In April 2024, our UK employees selected Maggie’s as our UK charity partner for the next two years. As of June 2025, we have already surpassed our fundraising target of £500,000, including matched funding from the Howden Foundation.
Maggie’s provides a unique approach to cancer care, offering free financial, psychological, and practical support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. Support is available both online and at their 24 centres across the UK.
Our partnership with Maggie’s goes beyond fundraising. Through our network of branches, we are working to raise awareness of Maggie’s, and we are collaborating to develop cancer-friendly insurance, challenging the insurance industry to better meet the needs of people living with cancer.
Black Dog Institute
Since 2004, DUAL ANZ has proudly partnered with Black Dog Institute, a global leader in mental health research and support, to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by mental illness. The team have since raised over AUD $1 million.
The partnership is driven by CEO Damien Coates, who has a long history of mental health advocacy and serves as a Mental Health Ambassador for Black Dog Institute. In his role of ambassador, Damien delivers mental health workshops and has reached over 10,000 people through these sessions.
DUAL ANZ's efforts all go towards funding vital research and helping to raise awareness, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, ensuring that more people get the support they need.

Volunteering and fundraising
To support and encourage employees to give back, Howden gives everyone in the Group 2 volunteering days to use each year. Our central Community Impact team organise, drive and inspire volunteering and fundraising activities across the world, especially during our core campaigns. From quiz nights to charity walks, local school maintenance to beach cleans, and bike rides to global adventure challenges – our colleagues continue to give to those in need and inspire each other to get involved.
We have also partnered with Benevity to create a global fundraising and volunteering platform called ‘Group Giving’. This helps employees find ideas and opportunities to sign up for, whilst also acting as a donation platform for our many active fundraising activities around the world.

The Howden Foundation
As a company we have a fundamental belief that a great business takes care of people, communities and the world around us, now and in the future. One of the ways we do this is through our independent corporate foundation.
The Howden Foundation is a registered charity with a mission to protect people against the social and economic effects of climate change. With an approach that mirrors our own DNA, the Foundation funds entrepreneurial and innovative solutions that will save lives, reduce poverty and address underlying inequalities.
