Howden Group commits to responsible business action as part of the UN Global Compact.

Today, we are pleased to share our first Communication on Progress as part of our commitment to the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact.

Howden Group is proud to have joined the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK, committing to take responsible business action to create the world we all want.

The UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, is a leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

It is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

David Howden, CEO of Howden Group explains: “Our focus has always been on building sustainable businesses but the challenges the world faces today are not the same as those we were delivering to 10 or 20 years ago. As we look to the future, we must constantly review and reset our focus on what it means to build better, more resilient businesses.

I am delighted to share our inaugural Communication on Progress, affirming our support of the UN Global Compact, and renewing our commitment to this important initiative.”
