Howden US Launches Korea Practice, names Brian Cho as Managing Director
Bringing together specialized market insight and global broker relationships to address the full scope of Asia-based clients
London and Miami, May 20, 2026 – Howden today announces the launch of a new practice dedicated to serving Korean-headquartered companies with significant US operations. Led by Brian Cho, the practice also will partner with Howden teams worldwide as they develop relationships with and solutions for Asia-based clients.
The appointment comes as the Republic of Korea deepens economic ties with the United States and Europe, including a March 2026 pledge to invest $350 billion in key US sectors.
Cho brings three decades of experience advising Asian multinationals on risk management and insurance placement, mostly recently running his own firm. At Howden, Cho will focus on Korean clients across the United States, working closely with colleagues in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. His purview spans industries, with a particular U.S. focus on technology, manufacturing, and renewable energy.
Brian Cho, managing director of Howden’s Korea Practice, said: “My team and I have built trusted client relationships with Asia-based companies and leaders which span decades and continents. Howden is the only platform where I felt confident we could continue to exceed our clients’ expectations while growing at the same time. It’s a company where collaboration across borders and teams is real.”
Michael Landa, vice chairman of Howden US, said: “Brian and his team have an incredible track record serving Korean multinationals. At Howden, they now have access to a global platform, deep relationships in the London market, and colleagues across the business who are invested in their success. That combination provides them with a bigger stage to do what they already do exceptionally well.”
