Howden US appoints Mark Peterson to lead Construction, Infrastructure and Surety Practice

Miami, 24 September 2025 – Howden US is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Peterson as Head of its Construction, Infrastructure and Surety practice. Based in the United States, Mark will be responsible for building out the industry practice and creating a new holistic option for clients in the construction and infrastructure space.
Mark will join Mike Parrish’s Howden US team, and work closely with Naresh Dade, Global Head of Construction, as part of Howden’s global specialty practice. His appointment reflects Howden’s commitment to attracting top-tier talent and delivering client-centric, specialty-led solutions in the world’s most dynamic insurance market.
Mark brings over three decades of legal and insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Howden, he led the Professional Liability team at Aon, where he advised constructors, architects, engineers, and owners on complex project risks and contractual models. He is particularly adept at guiding firms through the legal and liability challenges inherent in large-scale construction projects.
Earlier in his career, Mark was a partner at Stinson Leonard Street LLP in Omaha, Nebraska, and a shareholder at Koley Jessen P.C., where he built a national litigation practice focused on intellectual property, construction, engineering, and professional liability disputes.
