Howden US appoints Carol Murphy to lead Casualty Practice

Miami, 1 October 2025 – Howden US today announced the appointment of Carol Murphy as Head of US Casualty. Recognized as one of the top casualty leaders in the industry, Carol brings a proven track record to Howden of translating complex risk challenges into actionable client solutions. 

Carol will join Mike Parrish’s leadership team and partner with Howden’s global specialty leaders to build a best-in-class US casualty offering that is client-centric, technically rigorous and locally responsive across all industry sectors.

In previous industry roles Carol has led casualty strategy, placement and execution, complex claims advisory and analytics, including at Aon. Carol joins Howden’s team of senior regional experts, Dan Davoli, Matt Replogle and Mark Colgate, to bring the best of complex casualty solutions to clients.

Her industry recognition includes Business Insurance Women to Watch, Risk & Insurance Power Broker and Insurance Business America Elite Women. She is a dedicated mentor and advocate for advancing the next generation of insurance industry leaders and serves on the boards of Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana and Chicago Lights.
