Howden launches dedicated Employee Benefits & Pension business in Sweden

Henrik Mohlin appointed to build and lead Howden’s Swedish employee benefits and pension capability

Stockholm, 20 October 2026 – Howden, the global insurance intermediary group, today announces the launch of a dedicated Employee Benefits (EB) & Pension business in Sweden led by Henrik Mohlin who has been appointed Head of Employee Benefits & Pension. Mohlin will build and lead the Swedish EB and Pension team, setting its strategic direction and shaping its commercial proposition to develop solutions that respond to the needs of Swedish employers and their people.

The launch broadens Howden’s Employee and Benefits proposition for Swedish corporate clients and enhances Howden’s global employee benefits and pensions advisory practice, which has become a market leading force that employs 4,000 experts across 40 countries and delivers total combined revenues exceeding £500 million.

Marie Gustafsson, Chief Executive Officer, Howden Sweden, said: “The launch of our Employee Benefits & Pensions business is an important addition to our capabilities, and Henrik brings the leadership, experience and market insight needed to build this capability for the long term. We have developed a strong corporate insurance offering in Sweden, and the time is now right to launch in the local life market by growing our capabilities to include our clients’ people agenda — helping them, as employers, strengthen their business, attract and retain talent, and respond to changing employee expectations.

Mohlin has more than fifteen years’ experience in the Swedish insurance sector, spanning life insurance, occupational pensions and strategic business development. His previous roles include Business Specialist Life & Pension at Max Matthiessen and Sales Lead for the intermediary market at Folksam.

Henrik Mohlin, Head of Employee Benefits & Pensions, Howden Sweden: “As the market evolves, employers increasingly expect advice that is closer to their business, more flexible and tailored to their needs. Our ambition is to build a genuine challenger in the Swedish market by delivering exceptional client focus, expertise and long-term value. The energy and momentum behind Howden’s global Employee Benefits and Pensions division is phenomenal, and I am excited to get started and build a business that makes a real difference for Swedish organisations and their people.

Mark Ramsook, Managing Director, Global Growth Solutions, Howden Employee Benefits, said: “Sweden completes our Nordic footprint and fills an important gap in our Employee Benefits and Pensions capability across Europe, marking another important step in the continued growth of our global practice. Our ambition is to be the Employee Benefits & Retirement advisor of choice for domestic and multinational clients, built on strong domestic capabilities connected through our global practice and multinational client capabilities. Henrik brings exactly the local knowledge, commercial judgement and relationships we need to build that capability in Sweden.”
