Howden Appoints Rachel Woodward as Director of Sponsorships
London, 27 January 2026 – Howden today announced the appointment of Rachel Woodward as Director of Sponsorships, as it continues to invest in high-impact partnerships that reflect the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to tell its story through world-class sport and cultural platforms.
In her new role, Rachel will lead Howden’s global sponsorship team and oversee the selection, activation and evaluation of the portfolio of sponsorships and partnerships. She will be responsible for ensuring these partnerships deliver measurable impact across brand building, client retention, new business development, and stakeholder engagement.
Rachel will also lead the development of a sponsorship strategy looking ahead to 2030, including the identification, assessment, and negotiation of new opportunities, as part of Howden’s wider Corporate Affairs strategy.
Howden’s sponsorship portfolio spans world-class sport, including its role as the Series Title Partner for the historic inaugural Howden British & Irish Lions Women's Tour to New Zealand in 2027, reflecting its commitment to inclusive, high impact sport.
Howden also has a strong presence in global racing through partnerships with Ascot Racecourse, the Victoria Racing Club in Australia, the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, the Bahrain Turf Series, alongside its official partnership with Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team and the Lawn Tennis Association.
Rachel brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic sponsorships and partnership activation. Since joining Howden five years ago, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Group’s approach to sponsorship. Her previous experience spans global media businesses such as ESPN, agency-side roles at Octagon, rightsholder organisations including the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and English Premier League football club, West Ham United.
