Howden appoints Jonny Gray as Senior Advisor to its Sport & Entertainment practice

London, 8 September 2025 – Howden announces the appointment of sports industry expert Jonny Gray as a Senior Advisor to its Sport and Entertainment practice.  Gray is a highly experienced leader in sport risk management who will support the continued growth of Howden in the global sport and entertainment sector, with a particular focus on the US market.
 
Gray, who will be based in London for his role, has held numerous senior appointments in the sports sector. He will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor to Ankura Sports Advisory Group, which he was instrumental in establishing and that he co-led for several years; he is also an international sports disputes arbitrator for Sport Resolutions; an Independent Non-Executive Director with the International Table Tennis Federation; and was appointed in 2025 as the Independent Bid Monitor for the UK bid to host the 2035 FIFA Women’s World Cup. 

Previously, Gray established and served as the CEO of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), the regulator of professional tennis worldwide. Prior to that he was the Global Head of Sport at UK consultancy Control Risks, which included an 11-year period based in the USA. Gray has worked on numerous FIFA and IOC events globally and was also an advisor to the NFL ahead of its inaugural ‘London Series’.
