16 September 2025 –DUAL Europe is reinforcing its position in the cyber insurance market with a strategic leadership appointment and a newly aligned regional structure designed to meet the needs of brokers and clients across Europe.
As cyber threats continue to evolve and digital transformation accelerates, the demand for tailored, resilient cyber insurance solutions is increasing across enterprises of all sizes. In response, DUAL Europe is expanding its cyber capabilities with the appointment of Marek Stanislawski as Head of Business Development, Cyber Europe, effective 3 September, and the promotion of Erika Chemello and Johan Hedenstedt as Head of Cyber Southern Europe and Head of Cyber Northern Europe, respectively, effective 1 October.
Stanislawski joins DUAL with a pan-European remit, based in Stockholm, and brings deep expertise in cyber risk and insurance innovation. His role will focus on developing market-leading client offerings and enhancing broker partnerships in each market to deliver scalable and forward-thinking solutions.
“I am very pleased to be joining DUAL. The combination of an entrepreneurial culture and strong focus on cybersecurity makes it an ideal place for cyber insurance specialists,” said Stanislawski. “We are at an exciting stage where technological advances are challenging the traditional risk-transfer model, while increased capital is intensifying competition. It is truly a time for innovation and significant progress in cyber insurance.”
The appointments of Chemello and Hedenstedt reflect DUAL’s continued commitment to building a pan-European cyber ecosystem that combines local expertise with cross-border collaboration. Chemello will oversee southern Europe, including Italy, and Ibérica, while Hedenstedt will lead Northern Europe, covering the Nordics, Ireland, and Benelux.
This new structure delivers strategic alignment across these markets, while other core European countries - including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France - continue to benefit from DUAL’s established cyber framework, ensuring consistency and continuity in delivery.
“By appointing Marek and leveraging the synergies between northern and southern Europe, we are positioning ourselves to deliver even greater value to our partners. It’s a strategic move that reflects DUAL’s commitment to building a truly integrated and forward-looking cyber proposition” said Ali Khodabakhsh, Head of Cyber Europe, “I’m proud to see our team expanding in both scope and strength.”
In a joint statement, Erika Chemello, Head of Cyber Southern Europe, and Johan Hedenstedt, Head of Cyber Northern Europe, added: “This new structure marks a significant step forward in how we serve our clients the strongest possible cyber insurance solutions. By connecting Northern and Southern Europe more closely, we can share insights, accelerate innovation, and deliver more consistent and effective solutions to our clients.”
This announcement marks a key milestone in DUAL Europe’s journey to become a leading force in cyber insurance, combining local expertise with regional scale to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex digital landscape.
