Christopher Dalrymple to join Howden as Group Chief Legal Officer

London, 25 February 2026 – Howden today announces the appointment of Christopher Dalrymple as Group Chief Legal Officer, effective 23 March 2026.

As Howden pursues its ambitious growth plans, Chris will bring to this new role over 25 years of global legal leadership in the insurance and financial services sectors, together with deep public company governance, private equity and capital markets experience.

Chris will join Howden after more than two decades in senior roles with Alleghany Corporation, a leading global (re)insurance holding company and a NYSE-listed company until its acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway in 2022. In his time as Alleghany General Counsel, Chris has led global legal teams, supported the Board and CEO on strategic initiatives and public company governance matters. He also played a key role in transformative transactions including complex M&A and public offerings. His appointment follows the recent arrival of Susan Panuccio as Howden’s new Group Chief Financial Officer.
