Luigi Sturani

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Luigi began his career at Willis in London before joining Aon in 2006 as Managing Director and Head of Global Property & Casualty and Crisis Management, leading one of the largest teams in the market. He was subsequently appointed CEO Specialty, overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Luigi joined Howden in 2021 as CEO Europe and was subsequently appointed CEO EMEA. Under his leadership, the business has grown from just over 1,000 colleagues in 2021 to more than 6,000 across 30 countries today, driven by entrepreneurial talent, strategic acquisitions and investment in technology. This expansion has strengthened Howden’s position as a leading alternative for clients, insurers and talent across the region.
