David Howden on the insurance industry’s response to Covid-19
We are currently facing unprecedented changes and challenges - both as an industry and as a global society. With an estimated 30% of the world’s population living in lockdown, today’s “new normal” would have been unimaginable to most of us just a few short months ago. However, with challenge comes opportunity – especially for businesses that are prepared to adapt.
That’s what Hyperion’s CEO David Howden told David Hastie on The Insurer’s new podcast last week. David was invited to the show to share his thoughts on the industry’s response to Covid-19, and how the current situation will shape the long-term future of the sector.
In the two-part podcast, David praised the market’s resilience and the way it has adapted to embrace digital technology in response to the pandemic. However, he also describes this as a “carpe diem moment” - a catalyst for further innovation, and an opportunity for the industry to emerge stronger and fitter than before.
To hear David’s thoughts in full, and to learn more about how the Hyperion Group has responded to the crisis, listen to parts 1 and 2 of his interview on The Best Policy:
